| A) How many of you are REALLY going to go over 800 crank horsepower? Any of you? Not likely. B) Given that fact, you can get a Z up to that much power the very same way you could with a Supra. Sure...the Supra will get there for less money but ever see the prices of a Supra in EQUAL condition to a Z car? Sometimes TWICE the price. People always forget to factor that in when they talk about the Supra being cheaper... These are NOT exact figures...just rough ideas so take them as such. Z32 Stock in good shape - $12,000 let's say. Supra Stock in equal shape - $24,000 at least. Modded Z32 strictly for speed, let's say turbo kit with all bolt ons needed for 600RWHP reliably and safely without the addition of Nitrous - Another ~$10,000-$15,000 depending upon methods and parts. It can be had for less with cheap parts and deals or more with quality. Grand total ~$22-$27,000 Modded Supra to 600RWHP via a turbo kit and the basic BPU items without the use of Nitrous - Another $6,000-$10,000 depending upon methods and parts. It can be had for less with cheap parts and deals or more with quality. Grand total ~$30,000-$35,000 Wow, did I really go into that much detail. Hope my point is somewhat made. There's SO much more opinion, feeling, etc that goes into loving a car. But talking just numbers and power I'd much rather have a Z unless I wanted a dyno queen or a strict drag only car. As a Z owner I CLEARLY don't want a part in either of those two things.
